1. Rash on the skin of the breast, areola or nipple and it looks scaly, red or swollen
If you find that your breasts are showing unusual signs and symptoms look for it carefully. It may be a sign of breast cancer. Check for rashes on the skin of the breast, then it may be a sign of breast cancer. But wait and look for other symptoms. See if rashes are there on your nipples or areola (area surrounding the nipples). When you have breast cancer there will be rash on the breast skin, on the nipple or areola. When you find the rashes on these areas, the areas will look like red or scaly and sometimes they may swell also.
2. Discharge from nipples
This is another important sign. If there is any discharge from your nipples, then you should check well because it may be an indication of breast cancer in man. See what type of discharge is it. Is it normal or this is happening for a long time. Discharge once in a while may be normal but frequent discharge is not normal and you should talk to your doctor when it is there for some time.
3. A lump in the underarm area
See if you have a lump in your underarm area. If it is there then you should check well. General lump may not be harmful, but a lump that causes trouble and keep on increasing in size may be a sing of male breast cancer. This may be very dangerous, so do not avoid it. Go to your doctor and get it checked well.
4. Nipple tenderness
In case of male breast cancer, you will find tenderness of the nipples. This is a perfect sign of breast cancer in men. See and feel your nipples. If they feel very tender, then it may be cause o concern. Nipple tenderness may happen for some other physical problems but if it persists for a long time, do not ignore it.
5. A change in the size or shape of the breast
This is another sign that can tell you that you should check well for breast cancer. Due to breast cancer the tissues inside the breast change. So when the inside tissues change that shows up in the external breast size. Your breast size will either increase or decrease. If you find sudden change in the size of your breast then go to a doctor and get yourself examined.
